About Sana

Sana L. Cotten is the wife to her wonderful and anointed husband, Rev. Joshua E. Cotten and the mother to two beautiful children, Jamir and Janai.

In 2014, God gave Sana a glimpse of her life through His eyes. It was then that she realized that God’s purpose was bigger than her pain. Sana began writing in her blog entitled, “An Impossible Life made Possible.” This blog has given her a space to acknowledge her pain in raw form.

Sana’s dedication to the power of God is most evident in her own testimony. Behind her commitment to God lies a troubled past speckled with great struggle and even greater perseverance. A product of the foster care system, many counted her out. They thought that because she had been molested and abused she would be nothing more than a statistic. Sana has come to realize that every event in her life has meaning and purpose. It was through seemingly tragic circumstances that God revealed Himself to her and proved that His mighty hand was indeed all the while at work in and around her. Before long, those things that were once viewed as hindrances became the very foundation for her life and ministry.

Sana is an overcomer. She understands that her past experiences were not in vain. It was through those experiences that Sana has discovered God’s will for her life and has dedicated herself to helping others realize that there is also, purpose in their pain.

Overall, Sana Cotten is a woman after God’s own heart. Her leadership and lifework is to divinely connect, inspire, and empower women through all walks of life. Just the same, Sana’s mission is to help others conceive and recognize God’s purpose, plan, and destiny for their life. Sana believes that God’s will for her life is to connect, inspire, uplift, and empower women through her blog, her women’s foundation; Pearls of Grace, speaking engagements, and other outreach ministries.

Sana is currently self employed as a Project Manager and Marketing Coordinator. She is the Founder of Pearls of Grace, a foundation that empowers women to Freedom and Purpose in Christ and an Advocate for Children of Incarcerated Parents.

For the last 8 years, alongside her husband, who is the Director, Sana has served as the Assistant Director of Camp Shiloh, an affordable, state licensed, youth summer camp that is run through Shiloh Baptist Church. In 2017 the couple launched Shiloh Youth Enrichment Program, a before and After School Program that focuses on enriching the lives of the youth through homework assistance, and mentorship. The couple believes in purposeful living and has often opened their home to youth that have been abandoned with no place to go.

When she is not pursuing her career and ministry endeavors, Sana enjoys cooking/eating, listening to music and spending quality time with her family.
